Favourite Designer

Image
Gucci Gucci was the first designer store that I entered as a child, and I absolutley fell in love with all of their designs. They choose vibrant colors and patterns to catch the eye of consumers, as shown in the image above. They also have a lot of unique designs that many other clothing items do not have. Gucci is a fashian brand that originated from Italy in 1921. This clothing line was founded by Guccio Gucci, and continued to be operated by the family after he passed away. Now, Gucci has over 501 stores worldwide, with many many designs continuing to be created and introduced. Gucci on 5th avenue in New York City was the first Gucci store I ever entered and it was very memorable. Hopefully one day I will own a Gucci dress or handbag, for those are my favourite clothing items Gucci designs.

Red Pill/Blue Pill Debate

Image
Debate: Take the Red Pill    Arguments:  The red pill is a dose of truth  Taking the Red Pill allows the user to be fully educated  Morpheus wants Neo to take the red pill so he will learn how to defeat all of the A.I. Robot  This is beneficial to save the world, save mankind, and defeat these evil robots  The red pill allows mankind to recognize their ignorance and reduce it so they can save the world  Those who took the Blue Pill have no knowledge of the dangerous simulation and enviorment they are living in, which can honestly be putting them in more danger than if they were to take the Red Pill and try to defeat these robots  The information and knowledge that the Red Pill provides is essential to learn how to escape the Matrix and defeat these evil programs  People in the Matrix aren't as happy as people who take the blue pill think they are Neo becomes the best version of themselves when he takes the red pill because he has the abi...

Blade Runner Presentation

Image
Inspiration      One of the scenes in the play that really stood out to my group and I was when Roy was dying. A qoute that stood out was what he said before his death, "all those memories will be lost in time, like tears in the rain." The purpose of these lost memories influenced the design of this 3D poster. The photo of Roy is elevated a few centimeters, and the rest of the photos behind him represent his memories of the people he knew and beautiful areas around the world. We printed Ray's photo in bright colors and the rest of the photos in black-and-white to portray the memories and the contrast of these lost memories as if they are slowly fading away.  Cutting the photos we are pasting onto the poster board Cutting the cardboard to create our poster board  Taping the black-and-white photos onto the poster board  Creating the elevated illusion of Ray's photo  Painting the background black  Side photo demonstrated the 3D effect  Fi...

Blade Runner Notes

Image
“I think Sebastian, therefore I am.” - very powerful quote in movie  Very important  Can apply to humans as well  Occurred during the Nexus phase: in which the world built robot replicants that looked and behaved like humans  Police officers or the “blade runners” were needed to keep these replicant robots out of earth because they were dangerous  The superhuman Nexus 6 replicant robots were designed to fight endeavors in planets other than earth, but when they began a mutiny in the colony of another planet, they were banned from Earth  Setting is Los Angeles 2019  Tyrell Corporation employs the Blade Runners  Holden (one of the blade runners) interviews a new employee using a special device that can detect bodily and emotional responses to certain questions — this invention has a realistic possibility of developing for the future  This machine made Lion, the interviewer, become extremely upset and violent to the point that he shot Hol...

Three Robots: Exit Strategies

Image
Sofia Mucci "Three Robots: Exit Strategies" was the episode I found most intruiging from "Love, Death, and Robots".  I enjoyed this film the most because it perfectly portrays economic differences in our world. I really like how the episode began in a minefield that demonstrated an economicaly disadvantaged lifestyle, which was extremly shocking to the robots. Additionally, I also found it very funny and ironic how the robots couldn't trust wealthy and powerful individuals, they called them greedy and selfish people. This resonates with myself because I did not grow up in a wealthy household, and it was always very common to resent those that flaunted and bragged their money towards everyone. This seems to be exactly how the robots felt in this episode, when they kept speaking badly aboout wealthy humans and referring to them as greedy. The technology in this film that impressed me the most was the triangle robot above. This robot had the ability to project any ...
