 Assignment: We have to choose a science fiction movie that we have not watched or discussed in class following with a article, excerpt, or book that relates to this movie and connect these to our lives in 50 years. 

Movie We Chose: Don't Look Up 

Theme of Movie: A meteor is striking earth and a group of whether analyzers try to warn the world, however they are too warped up in entertainment and celebrties lives to listen, which ultimatley gets everyone killed in the end. This movie is mocking our world today and how everyone is ignoring the dangers of climate change because they are too warped up with politics, entertainment, and celebrties to care. This movie is warning us that if we don't start listening to the professionals then our world will vanish just like the world in Don't Look Up did.

My Ideas & Observations:  Freder serves as the "Mediator" between the Head, Hand, and Heart (the heart being the mediator) Freder can transition between worlds, revealing to him the horros of the underground world, which motivates him to be the mediator.  Maria serves as the hand, because she cannot move between both worlds like Freder, yet she guides him to bringing equality between the social classes.  Maria spoke with the working men in the chambers, telling them the story of the Babel. She inspires them to bring equality amongst everyone and explains how, giving them hope .... which is how she guided Freder to know how to bring everyone together.  Rotwang was another intresting character along with Maria --- he played the cliche role of the mad scientist with a devious plan  Rotwang had a strong desire to get back at Joh, becuase he was in love with Hel, Joh's wife Hel passed away so Rotwang tried to make a robotic clogne of her; but, before Rotwang made Hel, he c
